According to Statistics Estonia, in the academic year 2024/25, international students studying and working in Estonia contributed 16.6 million euros in taxes. In the same period, international graduates of the academic year 2023/24 contributed 7.5 million euros as labour taxes in Estonia. Throughout the analysed period (2017–2025), international students and graduates have contributed over 317 million euros in taxes in Estonia.

The share of innovative enterprises in Estonia is growing

According to Statistics Estonia, 65% of Estonian enterprises have introduced product or process innovations. The share of innovative enterprises is the highest in financial and insurance activities and in information and communication.

The annual change of the Dwelling Price Index was influenced the most by price increase of apartments in Tallinn

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2012 the Dwelling Price Index changed by 2.5 % compared to the 2nd quarter and by 8.4% compared to the 3rd quarter of the previous year.

Producer price index increased in November

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2012, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.3 % compared to October and by 2.2% compared to November of the previous year.

Every sixth person in Estonia lived in relative poverty last year

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2011, 17.5% of the Estonian population lived in relative poverty. The overall percentage of people living in relative poverty stayed on the same level compared to the previous year, but the income of the population increased.

PHC 2011: almost 4% of population aged 15 and over are self-employed

According to the data of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2011), most of the Estonian residents are employees. 3.8% of the persons aged 15 and over are self-employed.
