In the first half of 2026, there were 4% more accommodated tourists than the year before
According to Statistics Estonia, in the first half of 2026, accommodation establishments served 1.66 million tourists, which is 4% more than in the same period last year. There were 5% more foreign tourists and 3% more domestic tourists than in the first half of last year.
In June, exports and imports of goods grew by 15%
According to Statistics Estonia, in June this year, exports and imports of goods increased by 15% compared with the same month last year. Exports of goods amounted to nearly 1.7 billion euros and imports to nearly 2.1 billion euros at current prices, and the trade deficit was 413 million euros. In the first half of the year, exports of goods grew by 8% and imports by 7%.
Industrial output down for the fifth month in a row
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2026, the total production of industrial enterprises decreased by 4.6% at constant prices compared with June last year. Among the three industrial sectors, output increased by 26.7% in mining but decreased by 12.6% in energy production and by 5.3% in manufacturing.
