HICP flash estimate: prices up by 0.1% in May
According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in May 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists in Estonia, increased by 0.1% compared with April. Compared with May last year, the index rose by 4.6%.

General Government expenditures decreased
According to revised data of Statistics Estonia, in 2009 the Estonian general government sector deficit was 1.7% and gross debt level was 7.2% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the 1st half of 2010 the general government sector deficit was 4.2 billion kroons and gross debt level was 15 billion kroons.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July compared to July of the previous year, exports grew by 32% and imports by 23% at current prices. Exports of machinery and equipment increased by 61% and imports by 69%.

The Agricultural Census survey begins today
According to Statistics Estonia, starting today, 15 September, interviewers from Statistics Estonia will begin visiting households included on the census list for the Agricultural Census. According to the first estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 3.1% in the 2nd quarter of 2010 compared to the same quarter in the previous year. The GDP grew last in the 4th quarter of 2007.
