Revised data: average wages and salaries were €2126 in the second quarter
According to Statistics Estonia's revised data, in the second quarter of 2025, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were €2,126, which is 5.9% higher than in the second quarter of 2024.
HICP flash estimate: prices up by 0.6% in July
According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in July 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, increased by 0.6% compared with June. Compared with July last year, the HICP rose by 5.6%.
GDP flash estimate: economy grew by 0.5% in Q2
According to Statistics Estonia's preliminary estimate, Estonia's economy showed modest improvement in the second quarter of 2025. Compared with the second quarter of 2024, the gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.5%.

According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in June 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists in Estonia, increased by 1.1% compared with May. Compared with June last year, the HICP rose by 5.2%.
Number of unemployed persons down by 5,000 from first quarter
According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2025, the unemployment rate was 7.8%, the employment rate was 68.9%, and the labour force participation rate was 74.8%.
Foreign trade grew by 14% in Q1, growth slowed down in Q2
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2025, Estonia’s exports of goods grew by 6% and imports by 5%. Exports of goods amounted to over €1.4 billion and imports to more than €1.7 billion at current prices.
In June, the number of tourists increased by 2% year on year (corrected on 18.08.2025)
According to Statistics Estonia, accommodation establishments served approximately 91,000 tourists in June 2025, which is 2% more than in the same month last year. There were 5% more foreign tourists and 2% fewer domestic tourists than in June last year.
In July, the consumer price index rose by 0.6% compared with June
According to Statistics Estonia, in July, the consumer price index increased by 0.6% compared with June and by 5.4% compared with July 2024. Goods were 3.9% and services 7.7% more expensive than in July last year.
Industrial production volumes up by 2.9% in June
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2025, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 2.9% at constant prices compared with the corresponding month of 2024. Among the three industrial sectors, output increased by 5.9% in manufacturing but decreased by 8.9% in energy production and by 33.5% in mining.

Construction price index up by 1.4% compared with the second quarter of last year
According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2025, the construction price index increased by 0.9% compared with the first quarter and by 1.4% compared with the second quarter of 2024. Compared with the beginning of the year, the construction price index in the second quarter was most affected by the prices of building materials, which began to go up again.
Producer price index of industrial output fell by 1,5% in June
The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, fell by 1.4% in June 2025 compared with May and by 1.5% compared with June last year.
In May, electrical equipment was the most exported commodity, while agricultural products and food preparations were the top commodities in imports
According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2025, Estonia’s exports of goods grew by 2% and imports by 6%. Exports of goods amounted to about 1.6 billion and imports to nearly 1.9 billion euros at current prices. The trade deficit was 281 million euros, which is 78 million euros more than in May last year.
The numbers of domestic and foreign tourists increased by 4% in May year on year
According to Statistics Estonia, accommodation establishments served 304,000 tourists in May 2025, which is 4% more than in May last year. The numbers of foreign and domestic tourists both increased by 4% year on year.
