According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in September 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, decreased by 1.2% compared with August. Compared with September last year, the HICP rose by 5.2%. The HICP is a flash estimate, which will be revised based on the September price data.

Construction prices rose by 1.5% last year

According to Statistics Estonia, the construction price index, which expresses the change in construction expenditures, increased by 1.5% in 2025 compared with the average of 2024. The rising cost of materials was the main reason for the increase in the construction price index.

There were 7% more foreign tourists accommodated in November

According to Statistics Estonia, accommodation establishments served 254,989 tourists in November 2025, which is 3% more than in the same month a year earlier. There were 7% more foreign tourists, but the number of domestic tourists did not increase.

The volume of retail trade turnover in November was unchanged year on year

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2025, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 907 million euros. Compared with November 2024, the volume of retail trade turnover remained at the same level.

In September, the volume of industrial production decreased

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2015, the production of industrial enterprises decreased 4% compared to September of the previous year. Production decreased in manufacturing, energy and mining.

Construction price index took an upturn in the 3rd quarter as a result of wage pressures

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2015, the construction price index increased 0.2% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2015, and 0.6% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2014.

In September, the producer price index of industrial output decreased

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2015, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.2% compared to August 2015 and by -2.8% compared to September 2014.

In August, the number of tourists in accommodation establishments increased

According to Statistics Estonia, 394,000 tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in August 2015, which was 4% more than in August 2014. The number of both foreign and domestic tourists increased.

In August foreign trade decreased

According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2015, exports of goods decreased by 6% and imports by 3% compared to August of the previous year. The decrease in exports was mostly influenced by a fall in the trade of electrical equipment, metals and products thereof, and mineral products.

Consumer price index decreased for the 4th consecutive month

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in September 2015 was -0.6% compared to August 2015 and -0.7% compared to September of the previous year.

In August, the growth in retail sales decelerated slightly

According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2015 compared to August of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 8% at constant prices. In July, the retail sales increased 9% compared to the same month of the previous year, whereas in August the retail sales growth decelerated slightly.
