According to Statistics Estonia, in April, the consumer price index increased by 2.0% compared with March and by 13.5% compared with April 2022. Goods were 13.6% and services 13.1% more expensive than in April last year.

The turnover volume declined in stores selling manufactured goods and grocery stores, as well as in enterprises engaged in the retail sale of automotive fuel. Monday, 28 February, marked the end of the second stage of the Population and Housing Census where data were collected from people living at the addresses included in the mandatory sample. The survey component of the census has ended, but data collection from registers continues until July, to ensure that all residents of Estonia are counted.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2024, the total production value of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad decreased by 4% compared with the second quarter of 2023. On the domestic construction market, volume fell by 3%.

The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, increased by 0.3% in April 2024 compared with March and decreased by 2.9% compared with April last year.
