Statistics Estonia publishes short-term labour market statistics since November 2022. Interactive charts give an overview of the labour market in Estonia based on the data of the employment register. They show changes in the number of employment relationships: how many were started, suspended or terminated. There is also a time series of the changes in these indicators. Trade in goods with non-EU countries decreased the most in May

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2023, Estonia’s exports of goods decreased by 15% and imports by 13% at current prices compared with May 2022. Exports of goods amounted to 1.6 billion and imports to 1.9 billion euros at current prices. The trade deficit was 309 million euros, which is 12 million euros more than in May last year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, the construction price index increased by 8.3% compared to the average of 2020. In the fourth quarter of last year, the construction price index rose by 3.0% compared to the third quarter, while the index growth compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 reached a record high – 14.7%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2022, the Dwelling Price Index increased by 7.1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 and by 21% compared to the first quarter of 2021.
