According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, the construction price index increased by 8.3% compared to the average of 2020. In the fourth quarter of last year, the construction price index rose by 3.0% compared to the third quarter, while the index growth compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 reached a record high – 14.7%.

The places where people live have been recorded in one way or another for centuries. Previously, the place of registration could have been a church, municipality government, city address board, housing board or the Population Register. In recent decades, developed countries have found that register data are usually more accurate than survey data, and so population censuses have also begun to use them. According to Statistics Estonia, in 2020, the construction price index increased by 0.4% compared to the average of 2019. In the fourth quarter of 2020, compared to the third quarter, the construction price index rose by 0.4%, and compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, fell by 0.1%.
Life expectancy is increasing in Estonia

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2017, life expectancy at birth was 73.7 years for males and 82.3 years for females. In the last ten years, male life expectancy has risen by 6 and female life expectancy by 3.5 years. As a result, the difference in male and female life expectancy has decreased.
