According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in May 2019 was 0.2% compared to April 2019 and 3.1% compared to May of the previous year.
Today, on 21 October, the Director General of Statistics Estonia Mr Andres Oopkaup presented Ms Kairiin Kütt with the Albert Pullerits young statistician’s grant.
According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in March 2019 was 0.3% compared to February 2019 and 2.3% compared to March of the previous year.

In 2017, the social protection field was mostly characterised by growth trends: the average old-age pension exceeded 400 euros, labour market measures are being used more and there is a greater variety of them, the expenditure on family allowances increased and new allowances for large families were added. The number of old-age pensioners and subsistence benefit recipients has declined.
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2018, compared to June of the previous year, the turnover of retail trade enterprises decreased 1% at constant prices.
According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in January 2020 was –0.4% compared to December 2019 and 1.6% compared to January 2019.
Today, on 20 February, enumerators start visiting those people who did not complete the census online. Households that did not participate in the e-census can expect an enumerator’s visit between now and the end of March.
