According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in January 2017 was 0.4% compared to December 2016 and 2.7% compared to January of the previous year.
Today, on 6 July a meeting was held between Statistics Estonia and respondents where the main topics were the importance of data collected for producing official statistics, steps taken to reduce the administrative burden of enterprises, and penalty payments.

According to revised data of Statistics Estonia, in 2009 the Estonian general government sector deficit was 1.7% and gross debt level was 7.2% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the 1st half of 2010 the general government sector deficit was 4.2 billion kroons and gross debt level was 15 billion kroons.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2009 the percentage change of the construction price index was -10.5% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2008. The index fell three quarters running compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2014, the gross hourly earnings of female employees were 23.3% lower than the gross hourly earnings of male employees. The gender pay gap decreased by 1.5 percentage points compared to the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, yesterday, on 15 November, the Agricultural Census conducted for the sixth time in Estonia came to an end. In the course of the Census, data on agricultural activity were collected from nearly 30,000 holdings. Statistics Estonia will release preliminary results of the Census in December.
