According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2008, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 13,117 kroons and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 79.58 kroons. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2007, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 6.9% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 9.9% higher. Since 1993, the growth of monthly gross wages and salaries was last as small as that in the 1st quarter of 2004 (6.5%).

The publication of short-term labour market statistics was based on a commissioning contract and the contract expired in 2024. According to Statistics Estonia, the data of the Innovation Survey show that 56.8% of enterprises were innovative in 2010. The innovativeness of enterprises remained on the level of 2008, when the innovative enterprises accounted for 56.4%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2023, the average expenditure of Estonian residents on overnight outbound trips was greater than in the period before the COVID-19 pandemic. The average spending on outbound trips has increased by 43% in the years 2018–2023. The number of tourists accommodated in Estonia has not yet reached the pre-pandemic level, but the share of domestic tourists has increased significantly compared with 2018.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were almost 8,900 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2015. The number of job vacancies increased by 4.8% compared to the previous quarter and by 3.3% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2014.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were about 8,300 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 1st quarter of 2016. The number of job vacancies increased by 25% compared to the previous quarter and by 14% compared to the 1st quarter of 2015.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 12,259 kroons and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 74.25 kroons. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2008, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 6.5% lower and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 6.7% lower.

According to Statistics Estonia, the average gross monthly wages and salaries in the first quarter of 2023 were 1,741 euros, which is 13.3% higher than at the same time last year. The median wages, however, were 1,424 euros. The average real wages in the first quarter of 2023 were 1,443 euros, 3.2% lower than last year.
