The producer price index of industrial output decreased in July

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by –2.2% compared to June and by 3.5% compared to July 2012.

In July, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the decrease in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, as well as by the increase in prices in mining and in the manufacture of wood and wood products.

Compared to July 2012, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, in the manufacture of food products and in the manufacture of wood and wood products as well as by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of refined petroleum products.

In July 2013, the export price index changed by –0.4% compared to June 2013 and by –0.6% compared to July 2012.

In July, compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, wearing apparel, rubber and plastic products and metal products decreased more than average and the prices of oil and metal products increased more than average.

In July 2013, the import price index changed by –0.6% compared to June 2013 and by –1.5% compared to July 2012.

In July, compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, agricultural products and leather products and footwear decreased more than average and the prices of several machinery and equipment and wood products increased more than average.
