The producer price index of industrial output decreased in April

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.1% compared to March and by 4.6% compared to April 2012.

In April, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in mining and in the manufacture of electrical equipment, as well as by the decrease in prices in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in the manufacture of refined petroleum products.

In April 2013, the export price index changed by -1.0% compared to March 2013 and by -1.1% compared to April 2012.

In April, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil products, metals and electricity decreased more than average and the prices of peat products and wearing apparel increased more than average.

In April 2013, the import price index changed by -0.9% compared to March 2013 and by -2.4% compared to April 2012.

In April, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil products, electricity and agricultural products decreased more than average and the prices of leather products and footwear and some machinery and equipment increased more than average.
