The producer price index increased in July

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2012 the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.2 % compared to June 2012 and by 1.5% compared to July of the previous year.

In July, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum and oilsheel products, heat energy and electronic products, as well as by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of wood and wood products.

Compared to July 2011, the index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of food products and heat energy and by the decrease in prices of electronic products.

In July 2012 the export price index changed by 0.1% compared to June 2012 and by -1.2% compared to July 2011.

In July, compared to the previous month, the prices of metals and different machinery and equipment increased more than average, and the prices of agricultural products, petroleum products and rubber and plastic products decreased more than average.

In July 2012 the import price index changed by -1.0% compared to June 2012 and by 2.6% compared to July 2011.

In July, compared to the previous month, the prices of petroleum products, agricultural and leather products decreased more than average, and the prices of wearing apparel and electrical equipment increased more than average.
