Producer price indices decreased in October compared to the previous month

According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2011, the change in producer price index of industrial output was -0.1% compared to September and 3.3% compared to October of the previous year.

In October compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the decrease in prices in the production metal products and beverages as well as by the increase in prices in the production of food products.

Compared to October 2010, the index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the production of food products and refined petroleum products as well as by the decrease in prices in the production of computer and electronic equipment.

In October 2011 the export price index changed by -0.5% compared to September 2011 and by 8.4% compared to October of the previous year.

In October compared to the previous month, the prices of mineral fuels, metals and metal products decreased more than average, and the prices of wearing apparel and agricultural products increased more than average.

In October 2011 the import price index changed by -0.9% compared to September 2011 and by 10.2% compared to October of the previous year.

In October compared to the previous month, the prices of mineral fuels, wood products and metals decreased more than average, and the prices of agricultural and leather products increased more than average.
