Producer price indices in December

According to Statistics Estonia, in December 2010, the change in the producer price index of industrial output was 0.0% compared to November and 5.4% compared to December of the previous year.

In December compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the production of food products and by the decrease in the prices of wood processing. Compared to December 2009, prices increased the most in the production of metal products.

In December 2010 the export price index increased by 0.8% compared to November 2010 and by 8.4% compared to December of the previous year.

In December compared to the previous month, the export price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the production of food products, metals and metal products and leather products.

In December 2010 the import price index increased by 2.7% compared to November 2010 and by 12.8% compared to December of the previous year.

In December compared to the previous month, the import price index was more than average influenced by the increase in the prices of agricultural products, food products, mineral fuels and chemical products.
