According to Statistics Estonia, the percentage change of the consumer price index in February 2009 compared to January was -0.3% and compared to February of the previous year was 3.4%.
On 7 October, Statistics Estonia will launch a pilot Labour Force Survey, which will be conducted in parallel to the regular Labour Force Survey. The aim of the pilot survey is to test the renewed questionnaire and methodology, which will be implemented in 2021. This is the first time that the respondents can use an online questionnaire and the sample of the survey will include persons aged 75‒89.
According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2010 the production of industrial enterprises grew 31% compared to September of the previous year. This year the growth of production has mainly influenced by the increase in external demand, since domestic market has slightly livened up only during the last months.
According to the flash estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 2.7% in the 4th quarter of 2014 compared to the 4th quarter of 2013. The annual GDP growth in 2014 was 1.8% compared to the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2010 the production of industrial enterprises was equal to the production in January of the previous year. The growth in the energy production was the main factor causing the increase in the production, which had been declining since the respective month of the previous year, because the production of manufacturing decreased in comparison with January of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index was -0.1% in October 2011 compared to September and 4.4% compared to October of the previous year.
