The producer price index of industrial output increased in March

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2016, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.8% compared to February 2016 and by -2.0% compared to March 2015.

In March, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by an increase in prices in the manufacture of fuel oils and metal products, and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, but also by a decrease in prices in the manufacture of electrical equipment.

Compared to March 2015, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, in the manufacture of fuel oils, wood and wood products, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment.

In March 2016, the export price index changed by 1.1% compared to February 2016 and by -3.5% compared to March 2015.

In March, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil and peat products and building materials increased more than average, while the prices of metal products and electrical equipment decreased more than average.

In March 2016, the import price index changed by 0.9% compared to February 2016 and by -5.0% compared to March 2015.

In March, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil products, electricity and textile products increased more than average, while the prices of wearing apparel and paper and paper products decreased more than average.
