The producer price index of industrial output continued to increase in September

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 1.2% compared to August 2013 and by 4.9% compared to September 2012.

In September, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of refined petroleum products and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, as well as by the decrease in prices in mining and in the manufacture of food products.

Compared to September 2012, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in the manufacture of wood and food products as well as by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of metal products.

In September 2013, the export price index changed by 0.0% compared to August 2013 and by –1.7% compared to September 2012.

In September, compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, leather products, wearing apparel and rubber and plastic products increased more than average and the prices of metals, peat products, chemical products and furniture decreased more than average.

In September 2013, the import price index changed by 0.5% compared to August 2013 and by –2.4% compared to September 2012.

In September, compared to the previous month, the prices of agricultural products, electricity and oil products increased more than average and the prices of wearing apparel, metals and wood products decreased more than average.
