In May the decrease of the producer price index of industrial output continued

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -1.2% compared to April and by 3.4% compared to May 2012.

In May, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the decrease in prices in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in the mining as well as by the increase in prices in the manufacture of wood and wood products.

Compared to May 2012, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in the manufacture of wood and wood products, as well as by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of refined petroleum products and electronic equipment.

In May 2013, the export price index changed by 0.6% compared to April 2013 and by -1.5% compared to May 2012.

In May, compared to the previous month, the prices of agricultural products, furniture and wood products increased more than average and the prices of electricity and leather products and footwear decreased more than average.

In May 2013, the import price index changed by -1.0% compared to April 2013 and by -3.4% compared to May 2012.

In May, compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, oil products and chemical products decreased more than average and the prices of textile products and building materials increased more than average.
