In November, the monthly change of the consumer price index was influenced the most by the price decrease of petrol

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index was -0.3% in November 2012 compared to October and 3.6% compared to November of the previous year.

Goods were 3.4% and services 4.1% more expensive compared to November 2011.

Regulated prices of goods and services have risen by 6.5% and non-regulated prices by 2.7% compared to November of the previous year.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the consumer price index was mainly influenced by food which gave almost 40% of the total increase. Of which in turn over a third gave 9.4% more expensive meat and meat products, and another third respectively 17% and 13% more expensive fruit and vegetables. Housing expenditures gave over 30% of the total increase, of which in turn over 80% gave 8.4% more expensive electricity, heat energy and fuel. 4.9% more expensive motor fuel gave less than a seventh of the total increase. Compared to November of the previous year, of food products, the prices of eggs have increased the most (42%) and the prices of groats have decreased the most (7%). The plane tickets were 37% more expensive than a year earlier.

In November compared to October, the consumer price index was mainly influenced by the price decrease of petrol and plane tickets. During the month, the prices of plane tickets decreased the most (25%) and the price of paprika increased the most (31%).
