Today, at midnight of 2 February, the e-census which had lasted for a month came to an end. The first results of the e-census will be released by Statistics Estonia on Monday, 6 February.

“The interest in the e-census was especially big during the last days and today it can be stated that the population of Estonia made the e-census successful,” said Mr Priit Potisepp, Director General of Statistics Estonia. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all who have contributed to the success of this undertaking.”

Those who did not participate in the e-census will be visited by an enumerator in the period of 16 February to 31 March 2012. “During the next two weeks Statistics Estonia is facing a hectic period of data processing, in the course of which addresses where the enumerators have to go will be found out,” said Mr Potisepp.

The first results of the e-census will be published by Statistics Estonia as a news release on Monday, 6 February.
