Producer price indices increased in June

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2011 the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.5% compared to May and by 5.4% compared to June of the previous year.

In June compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the production of chemicals and chemical products, metal products and food products.

Compared to June 2010, the biggest increase in prices was in the production of refined petroleum products and metal products.

In June 2011 the export price index increased by 0.3% compared to May 2011 and by 11.1% compared to June of the previous year.

In June compared to the previous month, the prices of wood and wood products and chemical products increased more than average, and the prices of metals and metal products and plastic and rubber products decreased more than average.

In June 2011 the import price index decreased by 1.4% compared to May 2011 and increased by 10.8% compared to June of the previous year.

In June compared to the previous month, the prices of mineral fuels, agricultural products and metal products decreased more than average, and the prices of electrical equipment increased more than average.
