Producer price indices in April
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2009 the producer price index decreased 0.3% compared to March and did not change compared to April 2008.
In April compared to the previous month the producer price index was more than average influenced by the decrease in prices of energy supply and by the increase in prices of the manufacture of textiles. Compared to April 2008 the prices increased most in energy supply and in mining.

In April 2009 the export price index decreased 1.1% compared to March 2009 and 3.9% compared to April 2008.
In April compared to the previous month, the export price index was more than average influenced by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of metals and metal products, in forestry and in the manufacture of wood and wood products.
In April 2009 the import price index increased 1.4% compared to March 2009 and decreased 5.6% compared to April 2008.
In April compared to the previous month, the import price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices of mineral fuels and by the decrease in prices of metals and metal products.
