People have worked the soil in Estonia for centuries, and this has affected our nature and land. Land is cultivated on about one fifth of Estonia's territory. According to Statistics Estonia, in December, the producer price index of industrial output fell by 0.9% compared to November and by 1.2% compared to December 2018.

Latvia conducted a census based entirely on register data on the first day of this year, and it can be considered as a complete success. In addition to various databases, a large amount of information from private companies was used to specify and compare information, for example, on housing. According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, the labour force participation rate was 71.1%, the employment rate was 66.7%, and the unemployment rate was 6.2%. There were 43,100 unemployed persons, which is 4,800 less than in 2020.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July, the consumer price index increased by 0.3% compared with June and by 3.4% compared with July 2023. Goods were 1.7% and services 6.3% more expensive than in July last year.
