According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2021, the Dwelling Price Index increased by 3.4% compared to the second quarter of 2021 and by 17.3% compared to the third quarter of 2020.

Today, Statistics Estonia presented at a press conference a comparative survey of household and place of residence data. The survey, taking place from May until October, is conducted to test the quality of the methodology of the register-based population and housing census. 30,000 persons will be surveyed.
Foreign tourists’ visits to Estonian museums up by nearly a fifth

“Last year, the average number of museum visits per person in Estonia was 1.9. The highest museum attendance was seen in Saare and Lääne counties, where there were respectively 4.1 and 3.9 museum visits per person. In Tallinn, the city with the most museums, the average number of visits per person stood at 2.9. Average wages and salaries rose by 8.1% last year

Sigrid Saagpakk, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the average monthly gross wages and salaries in 2024 were the highest in Tallinn (€2,325) and in Harju (€2,218) and Tartu (€1,995) counties. “Compared with 2023, the biggest increase in wages and salaries was seen in Hiiu (9.9%) and Ida-Viru (9.7%) counties. Helle Bunder, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that, in February, there was an increase in total industrial production as well as in the volume of manufacturing production. “The rise in manufacturing production was mainly due to the 7.3% increase in the manufacture of food products, where output was boosted significantly by the manufacture of milk and manufacture of other food products, including sugar, sugar confectionery, prepared meals, tea and coffee, and spices,” explained Bunder.
