Estonia produces 71% of the meat consumed here

According to Statistics Estonia, 76,500 tonnes of meat were produced in Estonia in 2024, which is 1% more than the year before. The average annual meat production was 56 kg per person. Including imported meat, a total of 78 kg of meat per person were consumed during the year. 71% of the meat consumed in Estonia in 2024 was locally produced.

In July, exports of goods increased

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2014, exports of goods increased by 6% and imports remained on the same level compared to July of the previous year. It was the biggest increase in exports in the last 14 months compared to same period of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2014, the production of industrial enterprises rose 2% compared to July of the previous year. The production increased in manufacturing and energy, while in mining the production decreased.

In July the growth in retail sales accelerated even more

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2014 compared to July of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 10% at constant prices. Retail sales increased 4% in May and 7% in June compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, whereas in July the retail sales growth accelerated even more.

Construction volumes decreased in the 2nd quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2014 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries decreased 4%. The construction volumes have decreased for three quarters in a row.
