Statistics Estonia’s wages and salaries application now includes wages data for the first quarter of 2020. Also, median wages for 11 more groups of occupations were added.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2021, the gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 8.6% year on year. The GDP at current prices was 7.9 billion euros.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2022, the consumer price index increased by 2.7% compared to February 2022 and by 15.2% compared to March 2021. Goods were 13.7% and services 18.1% more expensive than in March last year.
Secure data interoperability Statistics Estonia received 1,099,300 euros via the innovation fund for the project “Secure data interoperability between sectors”. The innovation fund is administered by the Government Office of Estonia, and its activities and projects are funded under the European Union Cohesion Policy 2021–2027 measure “Development of innovation capacities in the public sector”. The aim of the project is to create a framework for data interoperability between the private and public sectors. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2017, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,153 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries 7.13 euros. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2016, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased 5.7% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries 3.9%. The year-over-year growth in average monthly gross wages and salaries was 1.2 percentage points slower than in the previous quarter and the year-over-year growth decelerated for the fourth successive quarter.
According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in November 2009 exports of goods from Estonia amounted to 9.1 billion kroons at current prices and imports to Estonia made up 10.3 billion kroons. The decline in exports and imports slowed down.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2009 compared to the same period of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises decreased 28%. In the 1st quarter of the present year the production was 31% smaller than a year ago.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2019, the labour force participation rate was 70.8%, the employment rate 67.5% and the unemployment rate 4.7%. The labour force participation rate and the employment rate remained at a similar level compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The unemployment rate, however, decreased by 2.1 percentage points.
