According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2011, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 792 euros (12,397 kroons) and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 4.87 euros (76.20 kroons). Compared to the 1st quarter of 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 4.5% higher and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 2.3% higher.

At the end of 2024, there were 2.4 million poultry in Estonia. 97% of these were hens and cocks, and the remaining 78,200 were other poultry. Ege Kirs, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that egg production has started to increase again in recent years. “Last year, the poultry laid a total of 11,800 tonnes of eggs. The bulk of egg production comes from a few large farms, which are also the main contributors to production growth and decline,” Kirs noted. Evelin Puura, the foreign trade statistics team lead at Statistics Estonia, pointed out that Estonia's exports were significantly affected by the re-exports of previously imported goods which increased by 30% year on year. “The rise in re-exports was mainly due to transport equipment,” Puura added. Exports of goods of Estonian origin grew by 4% compared with February last year, accounting for 65% of total exports.
