HICP flash estimate: prices down by 0.5% in November

According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in November 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, decreased by 0.5% compared with October. Compared with November last year, the HICP rose by 4.7%. This is a flash estimate, which will be refined once more detailed data on November prices are received.

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2019, compared to June 2018, the exports and imports of goods decreased by 8%. Trade in mineral products decreased the most. In the first half-year, compared to the same period of the previous year, the exports of goods increased by 5% and imports by 2%.

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in July 2019 was -0.1% compared to June 2019 and 2.1% compared to July of the previous year.

In June, the number of tourists in accommodation establishments increased

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2019, a total of 407,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments, which is 9% more than in June 2018. The number of both domestic and foreign tourists increased.

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2019, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 4% compared to June 2018. Production increased in manufacturing, but decreased in energy as well as in mining.

In June, the turnover growth of retail trade enterprises continued

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2019, compared to June of the previous year, the turnover of retail trade enterprises increased 3% at constant prices and was 635 million euros.

Producer price index increased in June

In June 2019, the change in the producer price index of industrial output was 0.1% compared to May 2019 and 0.5% compared to June 2018.

Moderate rise in the construction price index continued in the second quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the construction price index in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was 0.3% compared to the 1st quarter of 2019, and 2.0% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2018.

In April, the turnover had increased 8% compared to the same month of the previous year, while in May the increase decelerated.
