HICP flash estimate: prices up by 0.9% in August

According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in August 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, increased by 0.9% compared with July. In comparison with July last year, the HICP rose by 6.2%. The HICP is a flash estimate, which will be revised based on the August price data.

Revised data: average wages and salaries were €2126 in the second quarter

According to Statistics Estonia's revised data, in the second quarter of 2025, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were €2,126, which is 5.9% higher than in the second quarter of 2024.

In the 1st quarter, the number of job vacancies exceeded 11,200

According to Statistics Estonia, there were over 11,200 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 1st quarter of 2017. This is the highest number of job vacancies in the past 8 years.
