According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in November 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, decreased by 0.5% compared with October. Compared with November last year, the HICP rose by 4.7%. This is a flash estimate, which will be refined once more detailed data on November prices are received.

A new business analytics tool on the eesti.ee portal is now freely available to all entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs can now get a more comprehensive overview of their company’s financial data. The business viability index, created in cooperation between Statistics Estonia and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, brings together data collected from annual reports and tax declarations into one unified view on the eesti.ee portal.

Compared with October last year, the HICP rose by 4.5%. This is a flash estimate, which will be refined once more detailed data on October prices are received.

GDP flash estimate: economy grew by 0.9% in Q3

According to Statistics Estonia's preliminary estimate, Estonia's economy grew slightly in the third quarter of 2025. Compared with the third quarter of 2024, the gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.9%.

Construction volumes decreased in the 1st quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2014 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries decreased 3%. In Estonia construction activities decreased 2%, and the construction volumes of Estonian enterprises in foreign countries decreased by nearly a fifth.

2013 was a fruitful year for Estonian film

According to Statistics Estonia, 40 full-length films were released in 2013. They included 10 of full-length feature films, 27 full-length documentaries, two full length animations and one other film.

According to Statistics Estonia, the data of the Innovation Survey show that 47.6% of enterprises were innovative in 2012. Compared to the previous, 2010 Survey, the rate of innovativeness decreased by 9.2 percentage points.

In the 1st quarter average monthly and hourly gross wages increased in all economic activities

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2014, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 966 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 6.02 euros. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2013, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased 7.3% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries increased 6.9%.

Immigration to Estonia increased last year

According to Statistics Estonia, 4,098 persons immigrated to Estonia and 6,740 persons emigrated from Estonia in 2013. There were 1,459 immigrants more than in 2012.

The producer price index of industrial output increased in April

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2014, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.1% compared to March 2014 and by –2.3% compared to April 2013.

Attendance of museums grew by a fifth in 2013

According to Statistics Estonia, there were nearly 3.7 million museum visits in 2013, which is 22% more than the year before.

Unemployment and employment both decreased in the 1st quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, unemployed persons numbered 57,000 and the unemployment rate was 8.5% in the 1st quarter of 2014. The number of both the unemployed and the employed decreased. For the first time since 2010, the number of unemployed persons decreased compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

Economy decreased in the 1st quarter

According to the flash estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia decreased 1.9% in the 1st quarter of 2014 compared to the 1st quarter of 2013.

In March foreign trade grew

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2014, exports of goods increased by 1% and imports by 4% at current prices compared to March of the previous year. Foreign trade had declined for nine consecutive months compared to the same month of the previous year, but in March foreign trade increased.

In March, the number of tourists using the services of accommodation establishments remained at the previous year’s level

According to Statistics Estonia, 194,000 tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in March 2014. The number of foreign tourists remained at the level of the previous year and there were 1% fewer domestic tourists.
