According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 2.2% in the 3rd quarter of 2014 compared to the 3rd quarter of the previous year.

The year-over-year growth in average monthly gross wages and salaries was 1.2 percentage points slower than in the previous quarter and the year-over-year growth decelerated for the fourth successive quarter.

According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate was 5.5% in 2008 and 7.6% in the 4th quarter. By counties, the annual average unemployment was the biggest in Ida-Viru county and the smallest in Pärnu county.
