According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2023, the unemployment rate was 7.3%, the labour force participation rate 74.5%, and the employment rate 69.1%.
Organic farming area and number of organic livestock decreased last year

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2023, the organic farming area in Estonia was 225,300 hectares, representing 22.8% of total utilised agricultural area. 92% of the organic farming area was fully converted and the rest was under conversion. Compared with 2022, the organic farming area decreased by 2.5%, and 78 organic producers ceased activities.
Construction volume increased in the 1st quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased 21%. Taking into account only Estonian construction market, construction volume increased 29%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2021, there were 10,542 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. The number increased by 30% year on year. More than 12,000 persons left their jobs on the employer’s initiative.
