According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2020, the labour force participation rate in Estonia was 71.7%, the employment rate was 68.1%, and the unemployment rate was 5%. Social exclusion and poverty

A person might experience social exclusion if he or she lives at risk of poverty, or below the subsistence minimum, is severely materially deprived or lives in a household where the working-age members have very low work intensity. A low income might contribute to social exclusion: a person cannot afford dwelling essentials or durables, such as to pay rent or utilities, eat nutritious food, take a holiday away from home or buy a car, washing machine or phone. Construction volume increased in the 3rd quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased by 16%. Taking into account only Estonian construction market, construction volume increased by 18%.

Gender pay gap has widened in a year

According to preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2022, the gross hourly earnings of female employees were 17.7% smaller than the earnings of male employees. The gender pay gap increased by 2.8 percentage points year on year.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2017, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 2.5 billion euros, which was 18% more than in 2016. Taking into account only Estonian construction market, construction volume increased 23%. Construction volume increased for the second consecutive year.
