According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in May 2015 was 0.2% compared to April 2015 and 0.1% compared to May of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, the Dwelling Price Index increased by 10.7% in 2013 compared to the average of the previous year. Compared to 2012, the prices of apartments increased by 13.3% and the prices of houses by 4.1%.

Riin Kadarik, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the volume of manufacturing production increased for the third month in a row. “This has mainly resulted from increased output in the manufacture of wood and fabricated metal products, which are some of the largest activities in the manufacturing sector,” added Kadarik. According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in November 2013 was –0.4% compared to October 2013 and 1.5% compared to November of the previous year. Both the monthly and annual change were influenced the most by housing expenditures.

Helle Bunder, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the increased output of manufacturing resulted primarily from the higher volume of production in the manufacture of wood. “In January, the output of the wood industry was up by 8.3% year on year. This was the first time since May 2022 that the output of this industry increased,” explained Bunder. In January, the volume of industrial production increased in more than half of manufacturing activities. Looking at the larger industries, there was an increase in output in the manufacture of wood (8.3%), fabricated metal products (5.9%)

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2016, the Dwelling Price Index changed by 3.1% compared to the 1st quarter and by 1.8% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Johanna Linda Pihlak, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that while turnover volume in June increased by 5% year on year, growth slowed down to 1% in July. “Year on year, turnover volume grew by 10% in enterprises engaged in the retail sale of automotive fuel and by 3% in stores selling manufactured goods. The turnover volume of grocery stores continued to decline in July, falling by 5% compared with July 2024,” Pihlak added. Among stores selling manufactured goods, the biggest increase at 28% was registered in the turnover volume of other specialised stores selling predominantly computers

The latter had the greatest impact, with their turnover volume falling by 5% compared with August last year,” Pihlak added.
