Population and Housing Census will tell how sick Estonian people think they are

In the Population and Housing Census, which starts at the end of the year, among else, people will be able to give an assessment of their health. Health questions in the same wording were also included in the census ten years ago, which is why the results will provide an overview of Estonian people’s health and how it has changed in a decade.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2021, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,553 euros, which is 7.8% more than the year before. Gross wages and salaries were highest in Harju and Tartu counties, and in information and communication, financial and insurance activities and the energy sector.

In July, housing had the biggest impact on the consumer price index

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2021, the consumer price index increased by 1.1% compared to June 2021 and by 5.0% compared to July 2020. Goods were 3.3% and services 8.1% more expensive than in July last year.

Gender pay gap continues to be present in all economic activities

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in October 2018, the gender pay gap was present in all economic activities. The pay gap was biggest in financial and insurance activities (32.2%) and smallest in transportation and storage (1.9%).
