Today, on 3 November, Statistics Estonia presents the publication “Changes in the Economy and Labour Market” which outlines the relevant trends in the last decade.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2009 the percentage change of the construction price index was -10.5% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2008. The index fell three quarters running compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2018, life expectancy at birth was 73.9 years for males and 82.4 years for females. Life expectancy has increased for both sexes, slightly more for males. According to Statistics Estonia, today, on 16 September at 9.00 a.m. a job competition will be opened for recruiting 132 supervisors of enumerators for the 2011 Population and Housing Census.

Thursday, 3 November is the last day one can apply for the enumerator’s post at the Population and Housing Census starting at the end of the year. For conducting the Population Census, Statistics Estonia recruits 2,000 enumerators as total.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2009 the construction price index fell 10.0% compared to the 4th quarter of 2008. In 2009, the index fell 8.5% compared to the average of 2008.
