According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2022, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,693 euros, which is 10.1% more than at the same time last year.
According to Statistics Estonia, 64% of the gross value added of the Estonian gross domestic product (GDP) in 2017 was created in Harju county. However, the differences between counties as regards GDP per capita are getting smaller.
According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2021, Estonian accommodation establishments served over 167,000 tourists, which is 42% more than in November 2020. The number of domestic tourists decreased, while the number of foreign tourists increased.
Based on the results of the public choice competition, in the younger age group, Estonia will be represented at the European Statistics Competition by team Fresiito from Tallinn Secondary School of Science and team Mamika from Lüganuse School. In the older age group, due to the withdrawal of one of the teams, team Numbritaat from Viljandi Gymnasium and team Merkintä from Narva Pähklimäe Gymnasium moved directly to the European phase of the competition.

What kind of survey is it? The internet use and digital skills survey assesses how and for what purpose people in Estonia use computers and the internet. Who commissions the survey? The internet use and digital skills survey is conducted using the questionnaire and harmonised methodology developed by Eurostat, which ensures comparability of the results for different European Union (EU) countries. According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2021, Estonian accommodation establishments served 90,000 tourists, which is nearly one and a half times more than in May last year. The numbers of foreign and domestic tourists both increased.
As of today, 25 August, the new website of Statistics Estonia is available to the public. The purpose of the upgraded website is to ensure more effective dissemination of reliable data and offer a better user experience.
The Cultural Participation Survey conducted by Statistics Estonia reveals that over half a million people in Estonia went to the cinema at least once last year. Almost the same number of people attended a concert. Overall, 79% of residents aged 15 and over participated in a cultural event in 2023.
Today, on 10 January the Government of the Republic approved the list of statistical actions for the years 2013–2017. In 2013, Statistics Estonia will organise over 200 statistical actions.
