HICP flash estimate: prices down by 0.5% in November

According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in November 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, decreased by 0.5% compared with October. Compared with November last year, the HICP rose by 4.7%. This is a flash estimate, which will be refined once more detailed data on November prices are received.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2018, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.2% compared to February and by 2.9% compared to March 2017.

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2018, the exports of goods increased by 15% and imports by 13% compared to February 2017. There was significant growth in exports to non-EU countries, mineral products (fuels and fuel additives) were exported the most.

In February, the number of tourists in accommodation establishments increased

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2018, domestic and foreign tourists who stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments numbered 210,000, which is 3,000 tourists more than in February 2017.

In February, the volume of industrial production was greater than a year ago

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2018, the production of industrial enterprises increased 2% compared to February 2017. Production increased in mining and in energy. Production in manufacturing stayed at previous year’s level.

Statistics Estonia transforming into a national data agency in the coming years

The government approved the development plan of Statistics Estonia for 2018–2022 at its cabinet meeting today. The greatest change in the new strategy period is transforming Statistics Estonia into a national data agency – an office that offers data from different sources, support when using data as well as classic official statistics.
