According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2012, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 4% compared to the same month of the previous year. The main reason for causing the decline was the decrease in energy and mining production.

In the 2nd quarter, the rise in average monthly gross wages and salaries decelerated

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2016, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,163 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 6.91 euros. Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2015, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 7.6% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries by 4.5%. In the 2nd quarter, the annual growth of average monthly gross wages and salaries was slightly slower than in the 1st quarter of 2016.
Exports of services at a record high in the second quarter

According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the second quarter of 2023, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 8% and imports by 2% at current prices compared with the same quarter of 2022. Sales of services to non-residents totalled 2.9 billion euros and purchases of services from non-residents amounted to 2.2 billion euros.

Economic growth in Estonia was broad-based. In the previous years, the growth was largely due to internal consumption, whereas in 2017, the growth became more broad‑based. The role of household consumption decreased. After years of decline, investments began to increase again as a result of improved economic climate, indicating a positive mind-set of entrepreneurs.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2009 compared to July of the previous year, the production of industrial enterprises decreased 28%. The decline in industrial production that had started at the end of the previous year continued in July.
Positive trends in foreign trade continued in February

According to Statistics Estonia, in February, exports of goods increased by 16% and imports by 10% year on year. The growth in foreign trade was significantly boosted by trade in mineral products and wood and articles of wood.
