Construction price index increased in the previous year

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2008 compared to the average of the previous year, the percentage change of the construction price index was 3.4%. The index was mainly influenced by the decrease in the labour costs.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were 19,200 agricultural holdings in Estonia on the basis of the preliminary results of the 2013 Farm Structure Survey. Compared to the 2010 Agricultural Census, their number has decreased by a few hundred.
In 2018, construction volume increased

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2018, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to three billion euros, which was 18% more than in 2017. Taking into account only Estonian construction market, construction volume increased 21%.
Exports of goods of Estonian origin fell by 8% in February

The trade deficit in February was 426 million euros, which is 132 million euros more than in the same month of the previous year. Evelin Puura, the Foreign Trade Statistics Service Manager at Statistics Estonia, noted that goods of Estonian origin accounted for 61% of total exports in February this year, and their share fell by four percentage points year on year. “Exports of goods of Estonian origin fell by 8% year on year. The biggest decrease – by 62 million euros – was recorded in the exports of Estonian-origin mineral products, including oil shale fuel oil and processed fuel oils,” added

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2018, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 3% compared to May 2017. Production increased in manufacturing and in mining, but decreased substantially in energy.
