According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2022, there were 13,334 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. This is 26% more than in the same quarter of 2021. Approximately 5,000 people left their jobs at the initiative of the employer.
In 2021, average monthly gross wages and salaries rose by 6.9%

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, the average monthly gross wages and salaries in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia were 1,548 euros, which is 6.9% more than in 2020. Wage growth recovered following a slowdown in 2020 and reached the pre-pandemic level.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2019, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 3.2 billion euros, which is 3% more than in 2018. Taking into account only Estonian construction market, construction volume stayed at the level of the previous year.

Jane Leppmets, foreign trade analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that exports of goods of Estonian origin increased by 6% in November, while re-exports decreased by 2%. “The share of goods of Estonian origin in total exports was up by two percentage points in November, accounting for 66%. The groups of goods of Estonian origin with the largest exports in November were electrical equipment and wood and articles of wood,” Leppmets noted.
