According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2009 compared to January of the previous year the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises decreased 10% at constant prices.

On 12 and 13 November, the conference "Demographic Processes in the Baltic Sea Region in the 21st Century", organised by Statistics Estonia and the Estonian Statistical Society, takes place at the National Library of Estonia.
