According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2016, the Dwelling Price Index changed by 3.1% compared to the 1st quarter and by 1.8% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Riin Kadarik, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the volume of manufacturing production increased for the third month in a row. “This has mainly resulted from increased output in the manufacture of wood and fabricated metal products, which are some of the largest activities in the manufacturing sector,” added Kadarik. Looking at the major industries, output increased by 5.3% in the manufacture of wood, by 7.8% in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, by 3.5% in the manufacture of computers and electronic products and by 7.5% in the manufacture of electrical equipment

Last year, the quantity of commercial fish sold by fish farming enterprises increased by 45 tonnes compared with 2023. The quantity of farmed fish was in decline in the years 2019–2022 but has been rising again in the last two years. Anton Kardakov, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the increase in food prices has now reached the fish farming sector. “The average price per kilogram of farmed fish was up by 30% and exceeded 8 euros,” noted Kardakov.
