Today, on 21 June, the Director General of Statistics Estonia Mr Andres Oopkaup presented Ms Lagle Sammelsaar with the Albert Pullerits young statistician’s grant.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2018, the average monthly gross wages and salaries of enterprises, institutions and organisations were 1,291 euros, having increased by 7.5% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2017. The year-on-year growth in average monthly gross wages and salaries was 1.1 percentage points faster than in the previous quarter.
According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2020, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 625 million euros. Compared to May 2019, turnover decreased by 1% at constant prices.
Today, Statistics Estonia met with technology experts and analysts to present the technical solution of the Register-based Population and Housing Census and its opportunities.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2019, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 7.9% compared to the 1st quarter of 2018. In the 1st quarter of 2019, the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 7.90 euros, which is 7% more than in the 1st quarter of 2018.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2022, the labour force participation rate was 73.1%, the employment rate was 69%, and the unemployment rate was 5.5%*.
In the second quarter of 2022, Estonian residents travelled much more than in the second quarter of last year: the number of domestic trips grew by 45% and the number of outbound trips by 319%, that is, over three times.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2018, the average monthly gross wages and salaries of enterprises, institutions and organisations were 1,310 euros, having increased by 7.3% compared to 2017. The average monthly gross wages and salaries increased in all economic activities, being the highest in the 2nd and 4th quarters.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2021, the labour force participation rate was 70.7%, the employment rate was 65.7%, and the unemployment rate was 7.1%.
