Statistics Estonia carried out the survey of Intrastat data providers in October 2014 to measure the administrative burden caused by Intrastat and the satisfaction of data providers. The obtained data and collected feedback will be used in the development and simplification of the Intrastat report. Statistics Estonia expresses its gratitude to all the data providers who participated in the survey! The questionnaire was filled in by 1,091 respondents. Consumer price index on the rise again

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in June 2020 was 0.9% compared to May 2020 and –1% compared to June of the previous year. Compared to June 2019, goods were 0.8% and services 1.2% cheaper.

In the first quarter, construction volume fell by 7%

According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2021, the total production value of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad decreased by 7% year on year. Considering only the Estonian construction market, the decrease in construction volume was 6%.

In January, the biggest number of foreign tourists came from Latvia

According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2022, Estonian accommodation establishments served over 158,000 tourists, which is 64% more than in January 2021. The numbers of domestic tourists and foreign tourists both increased.

Number of job vacancies higher in the third quarter than a year earlier

According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2022, there were 13,190 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. This is 15% more than in the same quarter of 2021. Over 5,000 people left their jobs at the initiative of the employer.

Estonian economy grew by 5.2% compared to the pre-pandemic level

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in the fourth quarter of 2021, the gross domestic product (GDP), which shows how the Estonian economy is doing, grew by 8.6% compared to the same period of 2020. The GDP at current prices was 8.7 billion euros.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July, exports of goods increased by 29% and imports by 27% year on year. Trade growth was significantly influenced by the increase in the exports and imports of mineral fuels and base metals and articles of base metal.
