According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2018, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 1.8% compared to December and by 3.5% compared to January 2017.

The consumer price index was up by 4.6% in October year on year (corrected at 10:20 on 7 November)

In the case of electricity, housing and rent, the monthly and annual changes were mixed up in the news release. The data published in the table were correct. Lauri Veski, team lead of consumer price statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that, month on month, the overall rise in prices has been slowed down mainly by food products as their prices have fallen for two months in a row. In October, food products were 1.2% cheaper than in September. The biggest impact came from the fall in the prices of bread and bakery products (4.8%)

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2021, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 10% year on year. Production increased by 16% in energy production, by 6% in manufacturing and by 72% in mining.

Helle Bunder, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the volume of production in manufacturing decreased in 2024 as a whole but there were signs of improvement at the end of the year. “Manufacturing output started to grow in October and November but fell a little in December,” explained Bunder. Last year, production volume declined in two thirds of the 23 manufacturing activities. Looking at the larger industries, there was an increase in output in the manufacture of food products (5.1%), rubber and plastic products (0.7%) and other transport equipment (11.3%), and also in the repair

According to the flash estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia in the 4th quarter of 2013 stayed at the same level compared to the 4th quarter of 2012. In 2013, the Estonian economy grew 0.7% compared to the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2017, the exports of goods increased by 14% and imports by 40% compared January 2016. The rise in exports was affected the most by an increase in the exportation of mineral products, and the rise in imports by non-recurring big-volume transactions with transport equipment.
