What kind of survey is it?

There are four separate Business Surveys to collect information from enterprises in four sectors: construction, industry, trade, and services. The surveys are used to monitor developments in the business activities of the relevant enterprises, and the underlying factors. The collected data help to assess economic trends at the country, European Union (EU) and euro-area level.

A confidence indicator is produced for each surveyed sector, and the overall Economic Sentiment Indicator is calculated based on these. The survey also provides early and relevant information

In September, Estonia’s exports of goods amounted to almost 1.6 billion and imports to nearly 1.9 billion euros at current prices. What is Intrastat?

Intrastat (Intra-EU Trade Statistics) is the special data system for collecting statistics on the trade in goods between the Member States of the European Union (EU). The Intrastat system became operational in 1993 with the creation of the EU Common Market when the customs checks on the EU internal borders disappeared.
