According to Statistics Estonia, in 2017, compared to 2016, the number of international traffic passengers served by Estonian ports increased by 3%, the number of national traffic passengers increased by 7% and the freight volume of ports in tonnes increased by 3%.

Lauri Veski, team lead of consumer price statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that, compared with October 2023, the consumer price index was affected the most by price changes related to food and non-alcoholic beverages, recreation, and phone services. “Among food products, the higher prices of non-alcoholic beverages (+20.4%), fruits (+12.4%) and vegetables (+5.5%) drove up the index the most compared with October last year. The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, fell by 0.8% in December 2023 compared with November and by 4.4% compared with December 2022.

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2024, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was €842 million. Compared with April 2023, the volume of retail trade turnover fell by 3%.
