Today, President Kersti Kaljulaid visited Statistics Estonia to learn about the opportunities to use big data and experimental statistics to produce official statistics and improve the physical and social environment of Estonian people.

According to Statistics Estonia, the Estonian general government sector surplused in the 3rd quarter 2009 by 1.4 billion kroons. The consolidated gross debt level rose up to 13.8 billion kroons.

This year, for the first time, Statistics Estonia distributed the deadlines of the EKOMAR questionnaire over a longer period and, depending on the economic activity of the enterprise, the deadline fell in the period of 1–8 July. In the senior age group, the winner was team Radiaator from Hugo Treffner Gymnasium. The team members were Toomas Roosma, Kertu Liisa Lepik and Paul Erik Olli, supervised by Kerli Orav-Puurand.

According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 0.7% in the third quarter of 2013 compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in September 2016 was 0.2% compared to August 2016 and 1.0% compared to September of the previous year.
